Job Title: Legal officer
Work Location: Maputo
Working Hours :08:00 – 17:00, with a two-hour lunch break at noon.
【Key Responsibilities】:
1、Handle the company’s day-to-day legal matters, including contract review, legal risk identification, and business compliance support;
2、Manage and follow up on litigation, arbitration, and enforcement cases involving the company, liaising with courts, banks, and relevant authorities;
3、Assess legal risks in ongoing and potential disputes and provide clear, practical legal advice to management;
4、Prepare, organize, and submit legal documents, evidence, and compliance materials as required;
5、Support legal compliance related to fund flows, banking matters, foreign exchange, and related regulatory issues;
6、Work closely with finance, operations, and commercial teams on legal issues involving clients and suppliers;
7、Monitor changes in local laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company’s business;
8、Coordinate with external lawyers, courts, banks, and government authorities when necessary.
【Requirements】:
1、Bachelor’s degree or above in Law; legal qualification is preferred;
2、Experience as an in-house legal counsel or in a law firm, with hands-on experience in litigation or dispute resolution preferred;
3、Solid understanding of contract law, company law, and civil/commercial litigation procedures; experience with enforcement proceedings and banking-related matters is a strong advantage;
4、Strong legal analysis and judgment skills, with the ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice;
5、Detail-oriented, with strong document management and evidence-handling capabilities;
6、Able to work independently while maintaining effective cross-department communication;
7、English can be used as a working language for legal and business communication;
8、Strong sense of responsibility and ability to adapt to a fast-paced operational environment.
